NTPC and Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) have agreed upon forming a joint venture (JV) to set up renewable energy power plants. As per agreement, the JV would be initiated by NTPC’s wholly owned subsidiary NTPC Green Energy that will supply round-the-clock renewable energy to IOCL’s refineries. Through this JV, IOCL plans to meet additional power requirement to the tune of 650 mega-watt by Dec’24.
