NTPC Ltd. has awarded multiple coal import contracts totalling 6.25 mnt to Adani Enterprises with a cumulative value of INR 65.9 billion. The country’s largest power generating company has increased its import tenders following the directive of the Ministry of Power to increase imported coal blend with domestic material to tackle the ongoing coal shortage. The company’s March import tenders of 5.8 mnt of coal were also given to Adani.
