India: NTECL floats Tender for Purchase of 0.8 MnT Imported Coal

NTECL invites sealed bid from eligible bidders for purchase of 0.8 MnT imported Coal for its Vallur Thermal Power Project at Chennai.

NTPC Tamilnadu Energy Company Limited (NTECL), a joint venture of NTPC & TANGEDCO, invites bid for purchase of imported Steam Coal on CIF/High Sea Sales basis and delivery at Kamarajar port (Ennore) Tamilnadu.

General Conditions

• Bidders should have an experience of supplying one or multiple contracts of dry bulk (solid) commodities such as Coal, Iron ore, fertilizers, chemicals, cement etc for a minimum quantity of 0.36 MnT in any continuous 12 months in last 3 fiscal years reckoned from tender publish date
• Bidders should have average annual turnover of not less than INR 2.24 billion in past 3 fiscal years as on the tender publish date

Grade: Imported Steam Coal

Total quantity: 0.8 MnT +/- 10%

Unloading:  NTECL will arrange Stevedoring/Unloading of Coal at Kamarajar port (discharge port).

• Bid opening date: 15.00 hrs IST on 22 Sep, 2014

Note: The company had invited its last tender for procurement of 1 MnT imported Coal in Feb’14.
