India: NMDC’s iron ore production inches up, sales fall m-o-m, in May’22

  • India’s top iron ore miner NMDC’s production stood at 3.20 mnt in May’22, up 2% m-o-m from 3.15 mnt in Apr’22.
  • Production in Apr-May’22 stood at 6.35 mnt, higher by 7% y-o-y compared to 5.91 mnt in the year-ago period.
  • However, iron ore sales decreased by 15% m-o-m to 2.65 mnt in May.
