- NMDC, India’s largest iron ore producer, recorded output at 3.92 mnt in Feb’24, a decrease of 14% m-o-m as against 4.54 mnt in Jan’24.
- Iron ore sales also dropped by 13% m-o-m to 3.99 mnt in Feb’24 as against 4.56 mnt in Jan’24.
- However, cumulative production volumes rose by 13% y-o-y to 40.24 mnt in Apr-Feb’24 over 35.62 mnt in the same period last year.
