India: NMDC’s iron ore auction from Kumaraswamy receives good response

NMDC conducted an iron ore e-auction on 16 Feb’22 from its Kumarswamy mines at which 267,000 t was booked out of a total quantity of 287,000 t.

• JSW Steel emerged as the largest buyer, with total booking at 171,000 t, followed by NMDC Limited at 32,000 t.
• The iron ore lump (Fe 65%) lot was booked at INR 4,029-4,039/t (basic, taxes extra).
