India: NMDC’s Donimalai iron ore auction gets good response

NMDC had an auction for 40,000 t of iron ore on 8 Jul’24 from its Donimalai mines.

• 8,000 t lumps (10-40 mm, Fe 59%) got booked at INR 4,328/t against the base price of INR 4,268/t.
• 32,000 t fines (Fe 59%) got booked at INR 3,723/t against the base price of INR 3,703/t. Prices are on FOR, ex-stockpile/mines basis, including royalty, DMF and NMET.
• Bid prices for lumps and fines were higher by INR 60/t and INR 20/t, respectively.
