India: NMDC's 6th advance E-auction received High Bid

NMDC's (National Mineral Development Company) 6th advance Iron ore e-auction for its Donimalai mines was held in Karnataka.

Auction for NMDC is organized by MSTC on 7th of August in Karnataka.The total quantity of Iron ore offered for sale was 4,20,000 MT.

Total number of bids which came were 235, out of which number of bidders and winners were11 each.

The total quantity of Iron ore which was offered was sold out completely. There is 2.3% increase in the booking price of Iron ore. As compared to last advance e-auction, 6th e-auction received more bids. Floor price of Iron ore increased by 1% whereas in last advance e-auction only 88% of Iron ore was sold out.

Details of quantity offered:

Iron ore Lumps 1,40,000 MT

Iron ore fine 2,80,000 MT

There is 0.11% increase in the booking price of Iron ore lumps over the floor price. Fe 62.5 grade Lumps was sold at Rs 3,708.

The main buyer for Iron ore lumps was  JSW Steel ltd, who purchased 96,000 MT of Iron ore lumps i.e. 68%.

There is 4.8% increase in the booking price of fines over floor price. Fe 60.5 grade fines was sold at Rs 2,261.

Main buyer for Iron ore fines are JSW Steel ltd, who purchased 1,60,000 MT of fines, followed by Sesa Goa ltd with 32000 MT of fines , Lanco Industries ltd with 24000 MT of fines as well as Kalyani Gerdau steels ltd, BMM Ispat ltd, SBQ Steels ltd. JSW Steels ltd who purchased 57% of Iron ore fines.
