NMDC has scheduled an auction for 228,000 t of iron ore from its mines in Kumaraswamy, Karnataka, on 28 Aug. The material includes 100,000-t (10-40mm, Fe 59.71-62.15%) lumps and 128,000-t (Fe 59.49-63.27%) fines. Floor prices are yet to be declared. In its last auction on 20 Aug, 64,000-t lumps (10-40 mm, Fe 59.35-59.71%) were sold at a 4-7% premium, while 52,000-t fines (Fe 60.4-60.72%) were booked at up to 4% premium.
