India: NMDC resumes third shift for operations at Chhattisgarh mines

PSU mining major NMDC has resumed the third shift for operations at its two major iron ore complexes in Chhattisgarh, sources informed SteelMint. The miner had curtailed operations earlier by cutting down the number of daily shifts from three to two due to adverse weather conditions and rising COVID-19 cases. NMDC’s production in Sept’20 stood at 1.83 mn t – a rise of 11% y-o-y.
