National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) is going to conduct an e-auction of 51,000 MT Char-old and Char-new from its NMDC Ltd- SIU, IDA Paloncha, Bhadradri, Kothagudem on 3 May’17.
The coal char in the form of “lumps” and fine particles is the byproduct produced by the kiln along with the main product Sponge Iron.
The char, char fines have substantial calorific value which calls for their utilization for thermal generation of electricity.
