The government has come up with a list of 26 PSUs earmarked for strategic disinvestment, 23 of which have been cleared by the Union Cabinet. The list includes SAIL’s Durgapur, Salem and Bhadravati units, NMDC’s Nagarnar plant, NINL and Bhilai-based Ferro Scrap Nigam Ltd. The government’s disinvestment target for FY21 is INR 2.10 lakh crore out of which INR 1.2 lakh crore will come from PSU selloffs.
