NMDC held an auction for 256,000-t iron ore on 7 Dec’24 from its Kumaraswamy mines. The auction witnessed a decent response, with bid prices for lumps higher by INR 110/t.
- 48,000-t lumps (10-40 mm, Fe 62.79%) booked at INR 5,587/t against base price INR 5,477/t.
- 32,000-t fines (Fe 54.60-62.07%) booked at base prices INR 2,828-4,400/t.
Prices are on ex-mines basis, including royalty, DMF, and NMET.
