NMDC conducted an auction for 48,000-t iron ore from its Donimalai mines in Karnataka on 14 Oct. Of the total quantity offered, 32,000-t lumps (10-40 mm, Fe 54%) and 8,000-t fines (Fe 56%) were booked at base prices of INR 2,738/t and INR 2,989/t, respectively. However, 8,000-t lumps (10-40 mm, Fe 53%) remained unsold at base prices of INR 2,738/t. Prices included royalty, DMF, and NMEDT charges.
