India: NMDC invites Customers for Long-term Supply of Iron Ore

Enlistment of customers for long-term supply of Iron ore from Bailadila Mines.

National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) has invited tender for enlisting new customers as long term for Iron ore supply from Bailadila Mines (Chhattisgarh), which is the largest mines owned by NMDC. It has an annual production of 21-22 MnT. Rest 9 MnT comes from Donimalai (Karnataka) mines, which is sold through e-auctions.

General Conditions for Enlisting

1. End users’ Steel plants, which will share their resources with NMDC including technology for future expansion programme of NMDC
Or
2. The end user customers, who have been sourcing Iron ore from NMDC for about 2 years
Or
3. The end user customers, who are prepared to lift preferably fines by means other than rail
Or
4. Integrated Steel Plants should be minimum capacity of 1 MnT pa for production of Hot Metal/Crude Steel from Iron ore or having their own private railway siding; eligible for consideration under Priority‘C’ of Railways for rake loading
