Nirmal Kumar Pradeep Kumar (NKPK), a merchant iron ore miner based in Jharkhand has cut its iron ore fines prices by Rs 200/t, however lumps prices have been kept unchanged. Current offers for Fe 58-60% iron fines stand at Rs 1,400/t (ex-mines) and CLO (5-18mm, Fe 62%) at Rs 5,500/t.
Prices have been cut in line with falling iron ore and iron pellet prices in Odisha, said a company official, he also mentioned that fines are primarily taken by exporters to Haldia port and lumps being taken by sponge manufacturers.
Current freight to Haldia is around Rs 1,500/t
