- Neelachal Ispat Nigam Ltd (NINL) has started operations at its pig iron plant post acquisition by Tata Steel. The company will resume supply in the spot market from the third week of October, as per a recent update.
- Currently the company is producing 70,000-80,000 t of pig iron/month.
- NINL has a 1.1 mnt integrated steel plant and a captive iron ore mine in Odisha’s Jajpur district.
