Today, NINL has floated a price circular for about 7,000 MT LAM coke, for which the company is offering the material at INR 14,000/MT ex-Cuttack, Odisha.
NINL, a company promoted by MMTC, is offering about 7,000 MT LAM coke for sale. At present, the company has decided to offer about 2,200 MT at a basic price of INR 14,000/MT. While, purchasing above 2,200 MT, the company is providing discount of upto INR 100/MT.
The offered base price has decreased by around INR 700/MT as it was previously offered at INR 14,700/MT for 1 rake in the month of January. The material will be offered through rail.
The offered LAM coke contains 12.5% of Ash (max) with sizes available in the range of 20-80 mm. The offer is valid till 30 Apr’15.

Imported Met Coke
India imported about 3.3 MnT Met coke in FY15 as compared to FY14, which was estimated to be 4.2 MnT. There was a fall of 21.5% seen in Y-o-Y.
China contributes 44% of Total Met Coke Imports to India
Met coke export from China to Indian market had abolished in 2013 following 40% export duty. Therefore, in the past couple of years, Coke export from China has started increasing, eating away Ukrainian & Russian coke export market.
A downturn has been seen in Met coke import prices since past few months, after China grabbed a big market share of export to India.
