Neelachal Ispat Nigam Ltd, a steel PSU where MMTC owns the largest equity, has posted its best ever monthly production figures for pig iron and hot metal in July, 2018.
The company registered 83,690 MT Hot Metal and 76,687 MT Pig Iron in July which is best monthly production of the company since its inception. NINL achieved this feat surpassing the recent record production of 74,960 MT Hot Metal and 69,780 MT Pig Iron in June this year. The company also registered the highest Sinter production of 132990 MT in July surpassing its previous best of 123300 ton in April, 2013.
S S Mohanty, Vice-Chairman & MD, NINL congratulated the NINL collective for the achievement and encouraged further to set new benchmark in future. After successful completion of major overhauling of Blast Furnace, which established international bench Mark in reaching the rated production in 12 days after blow-in.
NINL recorded shift, daily, weekly and monthly production records in the last three months. NINL will commence Billet production within a month and convert it to TMT bars and Wire Rods through conversion basis this year. NINL and captive mines are also going to be operationalised in third quarter of this fiscal which will be a game changer for the company.
