The government has envisaged Tori- Shivpuri- Kathautia railway line in Jharkhand to connect Central Coalfields’ North Karanpura coalfield which has about 19 billion tonnes of resources. This project is envisaged by the coal ministry under PM Gati Shakti national master plan to add 125 mnt of coal evacuation capacity. The plan is expected to complete by March 2023.
