Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited (NINL), state owned, which is operating a 1.1 MnT integrated steel plant at Cuttack (Odisha), has cut its prices of Concast Steel Billet (Grade IS 2830) by Rs 1,000/MT ($16) w.e.f 26th September 2013, according to a notification issued by the company.
Current offers for Billet are standing at Rs 28,000/MT (Ex NINL plant basis) for retail sales only.Prices are valid up to 13th of October 2013. Previously company had cut its prices by Rs 500/MT in the month of August.
Commercial billet in line with NINL prices
Billet offers by other private manufacturers are available at almost similar price, which stands at around Rs 28,000- 29,000/MT on Ex-Works basis. Sources say fall in demand from exports market have made company to cut its prices.
