The Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) conducted an auction for 19,920 t of iron ore tailings (Fe 58.24%- indicative) from its Barsua mines in Odisha on 29 Apr’24. According to sources, the entire quantity was booked at INR 3,200/t against the base price of INR 2,850/t. The price is on ex-mines basis and includes royalty, DMF, NMET, and additional premium.
