India: NCL touches 100 mnt coal production mark in ongoing fiscal

Northern Coalfields Ltd. (NCL) has become the third subsidiary of Coal India Ltd. (CIL) to cross the 100 mnt mark in coal production in the ongoing fiscal (FY’22). NCL’s production was recorded at 100.01 mnt on 4 Feb, lagging behind MCL’s and SECL’s 136.86 mnt and 108.69 mnt, respectively. CIL’s total production till date in FY’22 stands at 486.64 mnt, up 5% on the year.
