India: NCL touches 100 mnt coal production mark in ongoing fiscal

Northern Coalfields Ltd (NCL) has become the third subsidiary of Coal India Ltd (CIL) after Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL) and South Eastern Coalfields Ltd (SECL) to cross the 100 mnt mark in coal production in the ongoing fiscal (FY’23). It is the fifth consecutive year where NCL has attained this milestone. As on 8 Jan’23, NCL’s production stood at 100.13 mnt, up 12% y-o-y.
