India: Mumbai based rebar makers increase gauge parity by up to INR 700/t ($10)

Rebar manufacturers in Mumbai (Maharashtra) have revised rebar gauge parity and increased it by INR 200-700/t in all sizes, effective from today (30 Dec). This revision has been made to improve the gap between primary and secondary mills and to maintain the conversion spread, which is currently at INR 4,390/t in Dec’20 (till 30th Dec) against INR 3,111/t in Nov’20. Also, the Goa market may follow the same parity as Maharashtra, sources shared with SteelMint.
