MP Power Generating Company has invited a purchase tender for 750,000 t of thermal coal for its power station. The last date for bid submission is 17 May’22. Amid the sharp rise in power demand, the government has directed power companies to import coal for blending in thermal power plants. Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra have issued tenders for coal imports while Punjab and Gujarat are finalising tenders.
