Monnet Ispat & Energy, having a capacity of 1.5 MnT crude steel based in Raigarh, has cut its Pig iron offers by INR 600/MT this week owing to falling steel prices in Indian domestic market. Current offers are at INR 26,500/MT Ex-Raigarh.
Indian Pig iron prices which shot up sharply after mining ban in Odisha, have started coming down with fall in steel prices across states.
Another major player in Central India based at Raipur has low stock of Steel grade and is offering at INR 27,200/MT (basic) to the market with correction of INR 300/MT W-o-W.
Similarly, manufacturers based in Durgarpur (West Bengal) are offering at INR 26,000-26,500/MT, with the major correction of around INR 800-1,200/MT.
Rourkela is currently offering at INR 25,400/MT; fall by INR 400/MT from last offer.
NINL cuts Pig Iron Prices by INR 500/MT
NINL, India’s one of the largest Pig iron producer, has also cut its offers by INR 500/MT. Current prices are hovering in the range of INR 24,750-25,000/MT (Ex-Cuttack) with an additional quantity discount upto INR 500 /MT.
