MMTC has issued an another export tender for 30,000 MT Pig iron with scheduled technical bids to open on 29 Mar’17. The material is produced by Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited (NINL), Duburi, Odisha, India.

Loading port: Paradip Port, India
Shipment period: During 15 Apr’17 – 25 Apr’17
Delivery basis: FOBST Paradip Port
Destination: Any country other than banned countries
Domestic offers
As per the price circular of MMTC, the price range of the pig iron is from INR 22,000 to INR 22,500 valid till 31 Mar’17.
Indian pig iron exports rose sharply in 2017 (Jan-Mar) owing to rising scrap prices and limited supply of pig iron from CIS countries. Indian exports were recorded at 178,050 MT in 2017 against 31,500 MT in 2016 during the same period. Indian exported 174,240 MT in 2016 (Jan-Dec).
Last tender by MMTC was concluded at USD 316/MT FOB India east coast in second week of March’17.
