India: MMTC invites Tender for purchase of 1 MnT imported Coal

MMTC on behalf of Aravali Power Company Private Limited (APCPL) has floated tender to procure 1 MnT imported Steam Coal on CIF basis.

Aravali Power Company Private Limited, a joint venture of NTPC, HPGCL & IPGCL intends to procure 1 MnT imported Steam Coal for its Indira Gandhi Super Thermal Power Project (IGSTPP) located at Jhajjar, Haryana.

Scope of work will include import of 1 MnT Steam Coal to Indian Ports, arranging vessels, stevedoring & handling, storage, port clearances, arranging railway rakes, loading, transportation and delivery at IGSTPP, Jhajjar.

The imported Coal to be supplied should be of any origin. Also the delivery shall be done at IGSTPP (3 X 500 MW), Jhajjar Haryana.

Eligibility Criteria

• Bidders should have imported or exported a minimum quantity of 0.45 MnT dry bulk (solid) commodities like Coal, Iron ore, Fertilizers, Chemicals etc of any origin in the past 3 fiscal years. Also, bidders shall quote the CIF price in USD and the rest of the scopes in INR.
• Annual turnover of the bidder in the preceding 3 fiscal years should not be less than INR 4.6 Billion.

• GCV (ADB): 5,300-5,800 kcal/kg
• Total Moisture (ARB): upto 32 %
• Ash (ADB):  upto 20% max
• Sulphur (ADB): upto 1.0% max
• Fixed Carbon (ADB): 30-50%
• Size: upto 50 mm

Last date for submission of bids will be on 23 Dec, 2014 at 14.30 hrs and the technical bids are scheduled on the same day at 15.00 hrs.
