India: MMTC floats Tender for 144,000 MT Iron Ore Purchase

MMTC has floated two different tenders for purchase of 24,000 MT crushed sized Iron ore and 120,000 MT fines for its integrated steel plant, NINL at Jajpur, Odisha.

MMTC has invited bids to purchase crushed sized Iron ore and fines from mine owners of Joda and Barbil only in Odisha. For this tender, bidders have to quote price in INR/MT on ex-NINL plant basis.

General Conditions

  • Only those mine owners, who have mines certification and IBM registration certificate are eligible to apply
  • Quantity can be increased or decreased, as per requirement of MMTC during the mentioned period. MMTC reserves right to extend the delivery period, as per requirement of NINL
  • Allotted quantity shall be delivered on monthly basis and the remaining quantity shall not be carried forward to next month and shall be treated as lapsed quantity

Total Quantity

  • Iron ore fines (0-10 mm): 30 rakes containing approx 120,000 MT
  • Iron ore crushed sized (10-40 mm): 6 rakes containing approx 24,000 MT

Loading Port: Nearest railway siding for the supplier amongst Banspani, Jaroli, BIL siding of SE railway and Nayagarh siding of Eco railway.

Destination: NINL’s railway siding, Jajpur, Odisha

Last date for bid submission will be 17 Feb, 2015 at 13.30 hrs and opening of the bids will be on the same day at 15.30 hrs.

Note: MMTC has also floated tender for purchase of 120,000 MT Iron ore fines and 24,000 MT Iron ore lump expiring on 29 Jan, 2015.
