India: M&M tractor sales more than double y-o-y in March

Mahindra & Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Sector, has announced its tractor sales figures for Mar ’21. Highlights are as given below:-

• Domestic sales stood at 29,817 units, up 122% against 13,418 units during Mar ’20.
• The exports for the month stood at 1,153 units, marking a humongous growth of 491%.
• Total tractor sales (domestic and exports) last month were at 30,970 units, as against 13,613 units in March last year.

Tractor demand is expected to remain strong as Rabi harvesting is progressing well along with the onset of sowing of summer crops in select markets.
