Indian miners based in eastern part have raised their ore prices by Rs 400/MT on 5-18mm and 10-30mm w.e.f from today, 16th September.
Iron ore supply has been short after Orissa Government ordered closure of 14 mines violating forest laws, which has caused miners to increase their ore prices. “We are flooded with queries as iron ore is unavailable in the market due to several reasons, one of them is closure of 14 mines by Government, violating forest laws other reason being low production due to monsoon” said one of the mines owner based in East India.
Latest Iron ore prices by Essel Mines and Rungta Mines:
5-18mm= 6800/MT
10-30mm=5950/MT
Prices loaded to wagons, incl royalty and taxes extra.
