Metso was awarded an EUR 11-million contract by Kuminex Steels for a 1.5 mnt/year compact-sized pellet plant in Hospet, Karnataka. Production is scheduled to start by mid-2027. The plant will utilise a 3-metre-wide indurating machine, designed to deliver performance comparable to Metso’s full-sized travelling grate units. With this new development, Metso expands its presence in India, having already built 24 pellet plants across the country.
