India: Met coke imports fall by 30% m-o-m in Nov’22

India’s met coke imports declined by 30% m-o-m to 0.36 mnt in Nov’22, as per CoalMint data. Shipments from China fell by more than 50% m-o-m to 0.09 mnt in the month. The fall in met coke imports can be attributed to sluggish steel demand in the domestic market coupled with sufficient raw material stock with Indian mills.
