Melting scrap prices remained volatile across regions on 27 Apr’22. Scrap prices were up slightly in western Indian markets due to low supply, especially in the Alang market. In other regional markets, however, prices slid marginally on account of low demand of semi-finished products amidst bid-offer disparity, particularly in the northern and central Indian markets, SteelMint notes.
