Melting scrap prices witnessed nominal changes ranging from INR 100-300/t across regions on moderate transactions. In the northern region, prices inched down tracking semi-finished steel prices, whereas in Maharashtra, western India, prices remained supported due to slight improvement in finished steel demand. Prices in the near term may fluctuate within a narrow range, trade sources reported.
