Melting scrap prices witnessed slight corrections across major regional markets on bearish sentiments on 7 Sept’21. Prices moved down by around INR 400/t across markets following the adjustment in sponge iron, semi-finished and finished steel prices. However, in a few locations like Alang and Mumbai scrap prices remained supported due to inadequate supply despite alteration in steel prices, SteelMint learnt from sources.
