Melting scrap prices in western India remained supported on active buying interest for finished steel products, which urged scrap buyers to raise their bids. Meanwhile, in some other markets like Mandi Gobindgarh and Raipur, prices corrected slightly due to average movement in finished products amidst improvement in conversion spread, especially in Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab.
