India: Melting scrap prices up by INR 600/t

Steel melting scrap prices were on the rise across the country on 11 Jun’21, as per SteelMint reports. In Punjab’s Mandi Gobindgarh prices inched up by INR 600/t backed by increasing sponge iron and semi-finished steel prices amidst positive global price trends. However, other scrap-dependent markets also witnessed a price uptick of INR 200-500/t on account of active steel trade, as per SteelMint assessment.
