Domestic melting scrap prices in most of the major consuming markets moved up by INR 200/t d-o-d except in Alang (Gujarat). Current trade price for HMS (80:20) is assessed at INR 25,000/t Jalna, INR 24,500/t Chennai (DAP). Prices increased following hike in other substitute product (sponge iron) prices along with improved transactions in semi-finished steel.
