India: Melting scrap prices up by INR 100-300/t

Domestic melting scrap prices in most of the major consuming markets in western India increased marginally by INR 100-200/t (mainly in Gujarat market) while in some parts of the northern region, it increased by INR 300/t due to improved trade and price increase in semi-finished steel. Current trade price for HMS (80:20) is assessed at INR 23,800-24,100/t Jalna, INR 22,700-23,000/t Chennai (DAP).
