Steel melting scrap prices moved down by INR 600/t today especially in the northern region , as buying enquiries for finished steel remained weak amid a sharp fall in sponge iron and semi-finished steel prices. Prices at most scrap-dependant markets slid by around INR 100-300/t. Prices in the short-term could witness slight corrections, trade sources told SteelMint.
