Melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market have increased by INR 500/t to a new high today, SteelMint assessment shows. Heavy melting scrap(HMS 80:20) prices are assessed at INR 41,200/t exy, while attachment prices are at INR 42,200/t exy. Sellers raised offers further today due to moderate transactions in steel billet as well as improved buying enquiries in yesterday’s trading session.
