Melting scrap prices rallied today on robust steel demand outlook. Increasing sponge and pig iron prices along with the rise in iron ore and coal prices kept scrap prices supported. The hike in semi-finished and finished steel products prices as well as scrap supply shortage due to lower than average stocks at yards lent additional support to prices.
