Melting scrap prices witnessed minor fluctuations as on 2 Dec’21. Prices inched up by around INR 100-200/t in northern region following a slight improvement in semi-finished prices. On contrary, in western India, scrap prices corrected down slightly on limited trade in the finished steel market. Prices in the near-term are expected to remain range bound without any major changes, trade participants reported to SteelMint.
