Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market inched up INR 200/t d-o-d. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 45,700/t exy. Despite lack of trades in semis and finished steel, scrap suppliers witnessed moderate buying enquiries during the last trading session. Moreover, limited availability of material at yards prompted suppliers to raise their offers marginally today.
