Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat, surged INR 500/t d-o-d on 1 Mar’22 continuing its all-time high streak, SteelMint assessment shows. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 44,500/t, while attachment scrap prices stand at INR 45,500/t exy. The rise in semis and finished steel prices in the spot market yesterday led suppliers to keep offers firm.
