Melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang rose further for the third day in a row by INR 200/t today. Heavy melting scrap(HMS 80:20) prices are assessed at INR 38,000/t exw. Scrap prices increased by INR 1,000/t over the last couple of days owing to better transactions in various grades of scrap along with rising prices of semi-finished steel.
