Gujarat’s Alang scrap prices have increased by INR 800/t d-o-d. HMS (80:20) scrap prices are assessed at INR 42,000/t exy. Improved trade in semis and finished steel in the northern and western regions, as well as enquiries for scrap, have contributed to the price hike. In the near future, market participants believe that the market will be on a positive note.
