Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market increased by INR 500/t d-o-d on 20 Oct’22, as per SteelMint assessment. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 40,000/t exy. Rising semi-finished steel prices in Gujarat and moderate buying interest for scrap by the induction furnace mills at Bhavnagar prompted suppliers to raise their offers today.
